The Opportunity

The Warehouse Associate supports the day-to-day flow of materials and finished products through the Interior Branding warehouse. This hands-on role is responsible for receiving, storing, crating, packaging, moving, and preparing products for shipment while maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting on-time production and delivery. You will work closely with Warehouse, Production, Shipping, and other teams to keep materials organized, inventory accurate, and orders moving efficiently.

Safety is a core part of the role. The Warehouse Associate is expected to bring a safety-first mindset to every task by operating forklifts and material-handling equipment responsibly, following PPE and lifting requirements, maintaining clear and organized work areas, and speaking up when a hazard or unsafe condition is identified.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, move, store, stage, and prepare materials and finished products in accordance with warehouse procedures and production priorities.
  • Build and assemble crates, cartons, and custom shipping containers and securely package finished products to protect them during storage and transportation.
  • Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts, pallet jacks, and other authorized material-handling equipment safely to move products, materials, and crates throughout the facility.
  • Load and unload delivery vehicles, verify shipment quantities and condition, and report damage, shortages, or discrepancies promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records by completing ERP transactions, tracking material movement and usage, and supporting cycle counts and physical inventory activities.
  • Label, tag, organize, and stage products, crates, materials, and warehouse locations to support efficient retrieval, production flow, and shipment readiness.
  • Partner with Production, Shipping, drivers, and other teams to communicate material needs, shipment status, scheduling issues, and operational constraints.
  • Perform routine equipment checks and report forklift, pallet jack, racking, or other warehouse equipment concerns before use when a condition could affect safe operation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused warehouse using 5S or similar practices, including keeping aisles, exits, work areas, and material-storage locations clear and orderly.
  • Support local deliveries or pickups when assigned and qualified, and provide additional warehouse support during peak periods, including overtime or weekend work when business needs require.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse, manufacturing, crating, packaging, shipping, receiving, or material-handling experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification for stand-up and sit-down equipment preferred; ability to complete required company training and certification is required if not currently certified.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP, inventory, shipping, and production tracking systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately count, label, document, and track materials and finished products.
  • Strong organization, communication, and teamwork skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
  • Ability to safely use basic hand tools and packaging equipment used for crate building, packaging, and material preparation.
  • Valid Class C driver’s license preferred to support occasional transportation or delivery-related needs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices, including proper PPE use, equipment checks, safe lifting and material handling, and timely reporting of hazards or unsafe conditions.
