The Opportunity

The IFS Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, configuring, integrating, and supporting solutions within Stratus' IFS Cloud ERP platform. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and high-quality technical solutions while following IFS development best practices.

 

The ideal candidate combines strong software development experience with expertise in IFS extensibility, integrations, reporting, and database development. This individual plays a key role in enhancing our ERP capabilities while ensuring solutions remain upgrade-friendly, secure, and aligned with enterprise architecture standards.

Responsibilities

The Impact You’ll Make

  • Design, develop, configure, and maintain custom solutions within the IFS Cloud ERP platform.
  • Build and support Configurations, Reports, Integrations, and Modifications (CRIM) while following IFS development standards and best practices.
  • Configure via IFS Extensibility — deliver customer requirements without modifying IFS Core / baseline source code.
  • Handle CRIM-Uplift — manage modifications through IFS version upgrades and Service / Release updates.
  • Develop upgrade-safe solutions utilizing the IFS Extensibility Framework and avoid unnecessary modifications to core application functionality.
  • Design, develop, and support integrations between IFS and internal or third-party applications using REST APIs, web services, IFS Connect, Boomi, and related integration technologies.
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL, Oracle PL/SQL, and C#/.NET code supporting enterprise applications.
  • Perform unit testing, troubleshooting, debugging, code reviews, and root cause analysis to ensure solution quality and reliability.
  • Evaluate business requirements and recommend standard IFS functionality whenever possible before pursuing custom development.
  • Participate in ERP upgrades, patches, and release implementations while ensuring custom solutions remain compatible.
  • Collaborate with business users, project managers, business analysts, and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions that improve operational efficiency.
  • Document technical designs, development standards, testing procedures, and support documentation.
  • Participate in project planning, effort estimation, and technical solution design.
  • Monitor application performance and proactively identify opportunities for system optimization and continuous improvement.
  • Stay current on IFS Cloud capabilities, new releases, emerging technologies, and development best practices.

Qualifications

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • 3+ years of software development experience supporting enterprise applications or ERP systems required.
  • Experience developing within the IFS Cloud platform.
  • Strong proficiency in IFS Marble, C#, .NET, Java, SQL, and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Experience developing REST APIs and web service integrations.
  • Experience troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing enterprise applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with IFS Cloud development and the IFS Extensibility Framework
  • Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
  • Experience supporting enterprise application upgrades and release management.
  • Experience working within Oracle database environments.

Pay Transparency

$100,000 - $140,000 Annually

This range reflects the anticipated compensation for this role at the time of posting. Actual pay may vary based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, education, location, and business needs. This position may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation based on individual and company performance.

 

Work Environment

This role operates in a [remote home office / hybrid office / or on-site office] environment, with regular collaboration across teams. The position involves extended periods of sitting, computer use, and virtual communication. Physical requirements may include lifting up to 20 pounds and general movement within an office setting.
