Summary

Stratus is seeking a high-impact Executive Vice President of Sales to lead our national sales strategy and execution. This executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth, building and mentoring a world-class sales organization of more than 30 employees, and shaping the future of our go-to-market approach. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in private equity-backed businesses, with a proven ability to scale sales operations over $500M+ in annual sales through multiple channels.

 

Location: This leader is ideally based in the Greater Cleveland or Chicagoland area, but we’re open to remote candidates.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company growth objectives and product offerings.
  • Partner closely with Customer Success and Operations teams.
  • Execute high level strategies set by the Executive Management Team.
  • Build, lead, and inspire a high-performing sales team across multiple regions and verticals.
  • Leverage experience from private equity-backed environments to drive revenue operational efficiency and sales acceleration.
  • Lead enterprise-level consultative sales engagements, from prospecting through contract negotiation and close.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and client services to ensure seamless delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics and market trends to inform strategy and optimize results.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related field; equivalent work experience considered in lieu of degree.
  • 15+ years of progressive sales leadership experience required, preferably in brand implementation, marketing services, or related consultative industries.
  • Proven track record of generating and managing $500M+ in total sales revenue preferred.
  • Experience working within private equity-backed companies, with a deep understanding of growth expectations, operational rigor, and value creation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and ability to influence at all levels within and outside the organization.
  • Expertise in complex, high-value deal negotiations. Exceptional negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large, geographically dispersed team including scaling sales teams in high-growth environments.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, forecasting and performance tracking
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach and a passion for driving results.
  • Deep understanding of market dynamics, competitive positioning and customer segmentation
  • Familiarity with modern sales tools and platforms (e.g., SalesForce, HubSpot)
  • Performance indicators will include Revenue growth and quota attainment, Customer acquisition and retention metrics, Sales cycle efficiency and pipeline health, Expansion into new markets or verticals

 

Travel

Travel is an essential function of this position due to the need for in-person interaction with customers, field partners, and/or business stakeholders. Travel may include local, regional, or national destinations and may be conducted via automobile, air, or other modes of transportation. All travel must be pre-approved in accordance with company policy and conducted in compliance with applicable safety and expense guidelines.

Pay Range

$220,000.00 - $260,000.00 annually - A pay range listed reflects the potential pay for this role. The pay will depend on various factors, such as responsibilities of the position, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Not all positions posted will have a pay range listed.
