Summary

Stratus is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations - Digital Signage to lead and scale our rapidly growing digital signage service line. This role will oversee operations for our end-to-end digital signage solutions, including kiosks, large-format displays, menu boards for QSRs, digital drive-through systems, and interior digital displays for retailers and sports/entertainment venues. The Director will ensure operational excellence across manufacturing, installation, and ongoing service/maintenance while driving process improvements, vendor partnerships, and client satisfaction.

 

The salary range for this position is $135,000 to 164,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee all aspects of operations for the Digital Solutions service line, including manufacturing coordination, installation, and service/maintenance.
  • Develop and implement scalable processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure quality, efficiency, and consistency across projects.
  • Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to achieve business objectives and client satisfaction.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive accountability and continuous improvement.

 

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Client Services teams to ensure seamless delivery of digital signage projects.
  • Work closely with technology partners, hardware suppliers, and software vendors to maintain strong relationships and ensure reliable performance.
  • Serve as the operational liaison to clients, providing expertise and ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.

 

Team Development & Leadership

  • Build and lead a high-performing operations team, including field technicians, project managers, and service personnel.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and training to drive a culture of safety, accountability, and innovation.
  • Forecast hiring needs and resource requirements to match growing demand.

 

Strategic Growth & Innovation

  • Support the development of new service offerings within the Digital Solutions business line.
  • Stay current with digital signage industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor practices to drive innovation.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, margin improvement, and enhanced customer value.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field preferred. MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in operations management, preferably in digital signage, AV integration, commercial displays, or related industries preferred.
  • Proven track record in managing complex, multi-site installation and service operations.
  • Experience working with both hardware (LCD/LED displays, kiosks, mounts) and software platforms (CMS, remote monitoring).
