Responsibilities

  • To work with internal stakeholders to review and process sign permit applications to multiple jurisdictions
  • Examining plans and blueprints for accuracy and compliance with building codes.
  • Calculating permit fees.
  • Maintaining records of permit applications, inspections, and related documentation for internal stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with sign codes and relevant ordinances.
  • Assisting with administrative tasks such as data entry, correspondence, and report preparation for internal stakeholders
  • Coordinating with other departments and agencies as needed.
  • Knowledge of Building Codes: Understanding of relevant building codes and ordinances related to signage.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and blueprints.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the municipalities and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems such as Microsoft, Excel, and ERP systems
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues related to permit applications.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as fee calculations.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required.
  • Experience in a similar role or with building codes is preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
