Job Summary: Stratus is seeking a dynamic and experienced Recruiter to lead the full-cycle recruitment process primarily for our manufacturing and operations roles. This position plays a critical role in attracting and hiring top-tier talent that aligns with our company culture and operational goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruiting for high-volume, skilled trades, and production roles, and will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

 

Location: This individual will be onsite at our San Antonio manufacturing facility 5 days per week to improve collaboration with key stakeholders and allow for deeper understanding of our manufacturing practices and environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for assigned roles, with a focus on manufacturing and related positions, from requisition creation to onboarding.
  • Partner closely with plant managers, operations leaders, and People & Culture (P&C) to understand workforce needs and develop effective hiring strategies.
  • Source candidates through a variety of channels including job boards, LinkedIn, trade schools, community outreach, and employee referrals.
  • Screen and assess candidates for both technical skills and cultural fit, with a focus on roles such as machine operators, assemblers, maintenance technicians, and warehouse staff.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews, facilitate feedback sessions, and guide hiring managers through the selection process.
  • Extend offers, initiate background checks, and collaborate with onboarding teams to ensure a smooth transition for new hires.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and generate reports on key hiring metrics.
  • Support employer branding efforts and represent Stratus at job fairs, hiring events, and community workforce initiatives.
  • Contribute to diversity hiring and workforce development programs tailored to the manufacturing sector.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent experience in Talent Acquisition.
  • Minimum of 3 years of recruiting experience, with a strong preference for candidates with manufacturing or skilled trades recruiting background.

 

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep understanding of the manufacturing talent landscape, including sourcing strategies for hard-to-fill roles.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to manage multiple open roles simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with ATS platforms (e.g., iCIMS, Workday, etc).
  • Experience using sourcing tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and niche job boards.

Pay Range

$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 annually - A pay range listed reflects the potential pay for this role. The pay will depend on various factors, such as responsibilities of the position, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Not all positions posted will have a pay range listed.
