Responsibilities

  • Receives and signs for all deliveries made to the warehouse.
  • Marks all materials upon receipt with work order number and/or material description.
  • Enters record of material into Job Command under appropriate work order.
  • Notifies appropriate personnel of shipments received.
  • Uncrates materials when appropriate.
  • Monitors inventory by performing cycle counts and “5S duties” (sorting, straightening, systematic cleaning, standardize, sustain).
  • Collecting and delivering all packing and delivery slips to Procurement Manager.
  • Organizes and cleans materials storage and dock areas.
  • Notifies appropriate managers of low stock conditions.
  • Assists in moving items between departments utilizing forklift.
  • Assists with loading common carrier shipments.
  • Attends all necessary meetings and training as required by management.
  • Provides care and security for all company resources.
  • Assists as needed with miscellaneous projects, office moves, facilities clean up and general shop organization and cleanliness.

Qualifications

 

  • A high school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be self-directing with limited supervision. 
  • Strong team player with the ability to build and foster working relationships.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time. The employee frequently is required to demonstrate fine dexterity, hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  The employee will regularly be lifting and manipulating heavy objects up to and approximately 80+ pounds.  In this event, it may be necessary to use not only physical power, but to utilize other lifting equipment such as, but not limited to, a dolly, forklift or crane.  In the course of the job activity it may be necessary at times to push/pull, climb, stoop, kneel and stand. Specific vision abilities required by this job include distinguishing color, close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly be exposed to extreme weather conditions, ranging from summer heat to winter cold.  The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
