Overview

Job Summary: The CDL Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of materials, products, and equipment. This role ensures proper loading, delivery, and receipt confirmation while maintaining the cleanliness and organization of company vehicles and facilities. The CDL Driver plays a critical role in supporting logistics operations and upholding safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities

  • Review and confirm shipping notifications and driving schedules provided by the Production Manager.
  • Load products and materials into trailers and trucks securely and efficiently.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to designated locations.
  • Obtain and verify delivery confirmations for all shipments.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, vehicles, and surrounding areas.
  • Support miscellaneous projects, including office moves, facility cleanup, and general shop organization.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all regulations.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by working overtime as required by management.
  • Communicate effectively with coworkers to coordinate tasks and deliveries.
  • Attend necessary meetings and training sessions as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid CDL (or ability to obtain and maintain one).
  • Ability to be insured under the company’s vehicle insurance policy.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions, maps, and directions.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
  • Strong team player with the ability to build and maintain working relationships.
  • Basic mathematical proficiency for load calculations and delivery logs.
