Overview

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Finance Manager to lead the financial aspects of our transition from our current internal ERP system to the IFS ERP platform. This critical role will serve as the financial subject matter expert during the implementation, ensuring seamless integration of financial processes and data. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of manufacturing finance, coupled with direct experience implementing and utilizing the IFS ERP system. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in a significant company-wide transformation.

The salary range for this position is $145,000 to $165,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

ERP Implementation Leadership:

  • Lead the finance workstream during the IFS ERP implementation, ensuring alignment with overall project objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, Operations, Supply Chain) to define and implement financial modules within IFS.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans for financial processes within IFS.
  • Ensure accurate data migration from the legacy system to IFS.
  • Provide training and support to finance team members on the new IFS system.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation of financial processes within IFS.

Financial Process Optimization:

  • Analyze existing financial processes and identify opportunities for improvement within the IFS environment.
  • Design and implement standardized financial reporting and analysis within IFS.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls within the new system.
  • Optimize financial workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Manufacturing Finance Expertise:

  • Apply in-depth knowledge of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and financial planning to the IFS implementation.
  • Develop and maintain accurate product costing and variance analysis within IFS.
  • Support the development of financial forecasts and budgets within the new system.
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting to support manufacturing operations.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as a liaison between the finance team and the ERP implementation team.
  • Communicate effectively with senior management regarding project progress and financial implications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Preferred experience with data migration and system integration.
  • Preferred experience with process improvement methodologies.
  • Proven experience with the implementation and utilization of the IFS ERP system is required.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing cost accounting, inventory management, and financial planning.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced changing environment.

Education, experience, certifications:

  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.  
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a finance role within a manufacturing environment.

Physical and mental demands:

  • Ability to work in a general office environment with prolonged periods sitting or standing at a computer.
  • Occasional lifting of packages or materials up to 25 lbs. is required.

Working Conditions (if applicable):

  • Primarily office-based, with regular visits to a light manufacturing environment for direct interaction with employees and/or supervisors.
