Overview

Job Summary:The Strategic Channel Executive is responsible for driving the acquisition and management of strategic partnerships that align with the company’s growth objectives. This role involves identifying potential partners, developing tailored sales strategies, negotiating deals, and managing long-term relationships to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes. The ideal candidate will leverage industry knowledge, market trends, and competitive insights to identify opportunities, while working closely with internal teams to implement and optimize partnerships. Success in this role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, along with a strong ability to track performance and report on key partnership metrics. This is an individual contributor role.

Responsibilities

Business Development:

  • Identify and target potential strategic partners within the industry.
  • Cultivate long-term relationships with decision-makers and stakeholders in partner organizations.
  • Develop and implement a partner acquisition strategy to meet sales and growth targets.

Sales Strategy & Execution:

  • Drive sales initiatives focused on securing new partnerships and revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored partnership offerings and solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and agreements to close deals that maximize value for both parties.

Relationship Management:

  • Build strong, trust-based relationships with key partners and maintain a deep understanding of their business needs.
  • Provide ongoing support and communication to ensure partnerships deliver value over time.
  • Develop strategies to enhance partner satisfaction and address any issues that arise.

Market & Industry Expertise:

  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
  • Conduct market research to find emerging trends and potential partners that align with company goals.
  • Join trade organizations and attend trade/industry shows as appropriate.

Performance Tracking & Reporting:

  • Monitor and report on key partnership KPIs, including revenue, growth, and satisfaction metrics.
  • Use CRM (salesforce) tools to track interactions, sales progress and forecast future sales potential.
  • Regularly update senior leadership on partnership progress and overall strategy performance.

Qualifications

Skills:

  • Willingness and ability to travel 25% nationwide for presentations. 
  • Proven track record in B2B sales or business development, preferably in a partnership or channel-focused role.
  • Experience in negotiating and managing complex, multi-faceted deals and agreements.
  • Familiarity with the industry’s competitive landscape and market dynamics.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
  • Excellent negotiation, persuasion, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical skills for assessing partnership opportunities and performance metrics.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) to manage leads, track performance, and report on KPIs.
  • Understanding of financial metrics related to partnerships and sales (e.g., revenue models, ROI).

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field or combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years' experience in manufacturing and/or professional services organization with national accounts.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including PowerPoint.
