Overview

The Print & Vinyl Associate is responsible for preparing, inspecting, and applying vinyl to various substrates to produce high-quality signage products. This role requires attention to detail, proficiency with vinyl application tools, and the ability to follow specifications to ensure all signage meets customer and company standards.

Responsibilities

  • Apply vinyl to various substrates, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and design standards.
  • Inspect, clean, and prepare work areas and materials before starting each project.
  • Verify cutout patterns against dimensional data, photographs, blueprints, samples, or customer specifications.
  • Select appropriate vinyl materials based on work orders or supervisor instructions.
  • Operate laminator machines to cut vinyl into designated shapes and sizes.
  • Use precision tools, such as X-Acto knives, to remove vinyl pieces and backing accurately.
  • Smooth vinyl surfaces, removing wrinkles and air bubbles using squeegees or hands for a professional finish.
  • Inspect completed products visually to confirm they meet specifications and are free of defects.
  • Cure materials by allowing them to set at room temperature or placing them under heat lamps as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance of tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to support safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Ability to use a tape measure accurately.
  • Comfortable working with hands on detailed and repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work within established processes.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
