Job Summary: The Trimcapper is responsible for precisely forming and attaching plastic trimcap to acrylic panels to create high-quality sign faces for channel letters. This role demands accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards to ensure the finished product meets our quality requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately measure trimcap lengths using tape measures and other measurement tools.
  • Notch and cut trimcap to size according to detailed specifications.
  • Form trimcap into the required shapes using hand tools and specialized techniques.
  • Bond trimcap securely to acrylic panels using approved adhesives for a professional finish.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain consistent quality.

Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Previous experience in sign manufacturing or channel letter production is a plus, but not required—on-the-job training is provided for qualified candidates.
  • Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools for cutting and shaping materials.
  • Physical stamina to stand for 10–12 hours per day and perform repetitive manual tasks.
  • Capability to bend, stretch, and perform physical labor throughout the workday.
  • Commitment to safety by consistently following established guidelines and procedures.
