Overview

 

This role is responsible for maintaining delivery counts and quality control procedures for incoming deliveries. Duties include unloading delivery trucks, checking incoming shipments against purchase orders, organizing, and storing shipments until the product is delivered to the end user.

Responsibilities

  • Unload and unpack shipments of products
  • Inspect shipments for damage and correct quantities
  • Accept and sign for inbound deliveries
  • Report damages or shortages to the appropriate person (procurement)
  • Match shipments to their associated purchase orders and enter receiving data on paperwork
  • Maintains records of all received shipments and record receiving data in company databases
  • Prepare and organize received stock for inventory
  • Process returns for any defective or incorrect items
  • Ensures that shipping dock is clean and organized
  • Assists as needed with miscellaneous projects, office moves, and facilities clean up.

Qualifications

  • Experience using fork truck
  • Experience using bridge crane
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Experience in warehouse or shop environment with shipping/receiving preferred
  • Basic math and organization skills
  • Ability to bend and lift 50 pounds or more
  • Detail-oriented mindset
  • Data entry and computer skills
  • Ability to work on feet for long hours, in various temperatures
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter, ability to work without supervision
  • Understanding of safety protocols and requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
