Job Summary: The Software Developer will work in a group environment to maintain and develop internal information technology solutions for business-related problems using skills identified below.  Activities include but are not limited to coding system enhancements, coding defect fixes, production support, testing system changes, technical documentation, and user documentation. Works closely with and supports internal customers daily. This person will collaborate with other developers, the business analyst team and the Software Development Manager on various special projects.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and implement software solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring high-quality coding and functionality.
• Enhance existing systems by identifying areas for improvement and coding system enhancements to increase efficiency and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects in a timely manner to support seamless business operations.
• Provide production support by diagnosing and resolving issues as they arise, minimizing downtime and maintaining service levels.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy for future reference and support.
• Prepare user documentation to guide internal customers on new features or changes, supporting user adoption and effective utilization.
• Collaborate daily with internal customers to understand requirements, provide updates, and deliver solutions aligned with business goals.
• Partner with other developers, business analysts, and the Software Development Manager to support special projects and strategic initiatives.

Skills

• Solid communication skills to be utilized within the application development team and with business analyst team.

Education, experience, certifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Computer Science or related highly preferred
• 3+ year of development experience leveraging the .NET framework and/or .NET Core, C#, and Visual Studio.
• 1+ year knowledge and developing against SQL Server. This includes (but is not limited to) queries, views, and stored procedures.
• Experience/Knowledge using code repository (Git preferred but not required)

Physical and mental demands

• Extensive time seated, typing on keyboard
